On Friday, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City's Jane Shah was sentenced by a federal judge to 78 months, or six and a half years, in prison for conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

Shah's sentencing follows a nearly two-year saga that began with his arrest in early 2021.

Shah will have to surrender himself in jail on February 17, 2023 and will be released under five years of supervision after completing his sentence.

Before admitting to being a wire fraudster, Shah made a name for herself on Bravo's Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.

She rose to fame by flaunting her money on television and starting feuds with her fellow actors,

specifically calling former Housewife Mary Cosby a "grandpa bastard" (Cosby is married to his step-grandfather and has a child by him).

In their season-long feud, Cosby said Shah smelled like a hospital. And with that, the first season went to Bravo.

But the allegations against Shah are not as trivial as minor quibbles on a Bravo television show. officials say,

And Shah has admitted, that he used telemarketing to target and defraud unsuspecting strangers, many of whom were elderly and living on their savings.
