Legendary Motown musician and producer Lamont Dossier died Monday at the age of 81.
In the 1960s, the Detroit guitarist performed "You Can't Hurry Love" with his brothers Brian and Eddie Holland.
and went on to write and create classics including "Heat Wave".
For musicians such as The Supremes and Marvin Gaye, the Holland-Dozier-Holland trio produced timeless songs.
Dossier died "peacefully" on Monday at his home near Scottsdale, Arizona, according to a statement released by his family.
The cause of death is yet to be ascertained.
