Johnny Depp donates earnings from NFT sale to charity associated with Amber Heard

The Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, which has connections to Amber Heard, is one of the charities to whom Johnny Depp contributed the money from an NFT sale.

Depp's Never Fear Truth NFT (non-fungible token) platform said that it has received

"almost $800,000 (£666,530) in total donations" on Wednesday, July 6. The funds were distributed to four organisations.

The beneficiaries were listed as "Perth Children's Hospital Foundation (through CAF America),

Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (via CAF America), The Footprint Coalition, [and] the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles," in the tweet that followed.

The Children's Hospital of Los Angeles is one of the four beneficiary organisations that has links to Depp's ex-wife Heard.

It was discovered Heard had broken her 2016 commitment to give her $7 million (£5.8 million) divorce settlement from Depp during the couple's current defamation suit.

The Children's Hospital of Los Angeles was one of the two organisations Heard indicated she would split the payment between.

The American Civil Liberties Union was the other.

Fans applauded the Pirates of the Caribbean star for his "never-ending compassion" when the news of Depp's NFT sale was revealed.
