The mysterious envelope given to Olivia Wilde in the middle of her presentation contained the custody documents of former partner Jason Sudeikis,
who was not aware that legal paperwork would be filed during CinemaCon, according to a source with information on the situation.
The insider told The Hollywood Reporter, “The papers were drawn up to establish jurisdiction over the children of Ms. Wilde and Mr. Sudeikis.”
“Mr. Sudeikis had no prior knowledge of the time or place that the envelope was delivered.
Because it would be entirely up to the process service company involved, and it would never forgive him/her for serving it in such an inappropriate manner.
Wilde, who shares two children with the Ted Lasso star, was in the process of promoting her upcoming Warner Bros. film Don't Worry Darling.
Wilde and Sudeikis split in 2020, and she is currently dating Don't Worry Darling head Harry Styles.
Mitch Neuhauser, managing director of the National Association of Theater Owners and head of CinemaCon,
told THR that a star exposure incident had never happened before, and that the incident has caused the security measures to be re-evaluated.
