Britney Spears' ex-husband Jason Alexander arrested at her home

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – Britney Spears' ex-husband Jason Alexander was detained in her Ventura County home with fiancé Sam Asghari on Thursday.

Alexander was chased and held by security after turning up at the property, according to a local law enforcement officer.

Alexander was married to Spears for 55 hours following a 2004 Las Vegas ceremony before the marriage was dissolved.

A trespasser was reported to the Ventura County Sheriff's Department at Spears' Thousand Oaks home at 2 p.m., according to the source.

Alexander was arrested on suspicion of an outstanding felony warrant out of Napa County from 2016, the official said.

The news was initially reported by TMZ. Mathew Rosengart, a lawyer for Spears,

said he was "enraged" by the "intrusion" and commended law enforcement personnel for their swift response.

A lawyer for Alexander did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Spears and Asghari announced their engagement in September.

Spears, 40, was released from her conservatorship in November after a court granted her request

to dissolve the 13-year arrangement that had legally prevented her from making her own personal and financial decisions.
